Standard of Practice: Record Keeping
At the 83rd Council meeting, Council moved to adopt the document CDO Standard of Practice: Record Keeping as the new Standard for the profession as of January 1, 2017 and to retire the policy Patient Record Keeping approved by Council on March 2, 2012.
The College has presented webinars to prepare the profession in understanding the Standard. Here are some tools that will assist members in meeting record keeping requirements:

NOTE REGARDING STANDARD OF PRACTICE 3.1.6: At the 77th Council meeting held on Friday, October 3, 2014, Council revoked Standard of Practice 3.1.6 Anti-Snoring Devices and corresponding appendix D for 3.1.6 Anti-Snoring Appliances as there are a number of inconsistent statements contained in Standard of Practice 3.1.6.
Important Notice: Members who choose to undertake to fit and dispense anti-snoring devices should only do so with the requisite inter-professional health care collaboration, knowledge, skill and training. You must determine whether this is within your personal scope of practice, i.e. are you competent to provide this service?
